Due to Trustee Brittney Josoff's resignation from Zone 5 on November 14, 2024, the Board of Trustees of Wilder School District declared a vacancy for Zone 5 on November 25, 2024, and is commencing the process to fill this vacancy.

Board Member eligibility:
Must be eighteen (18) years old
A United States citizen
A resident of the Wilder School District for at least 30 days
Live within the specified zone up for election
There are limitations to board members having spouses employed with the school district, as well as ethical and legal limitations on any business entity that contracts with the school district (
See Idaho Code 33-507)
Board Elections are held in November, with the new board member(s) taking seat in January. Board terms are four years on a staggered basis.
The next trustee election will be in the fall of 2025.
Please note this section applies to elections, not to filling vacancies.
To be included on the ballot:
The prospective Board Member will complete the Candidate Filing Packet-PDF, which includes a petition for candidacy and a declaration of candidacy.
Candidates must go to the County Elections Department to have their petition (at least 5 signatures) certified. This can't be done after the filing deadline. The county provides a certification page that must be included in the candidate packet.
