On December 14th and 15th the Wilder High School basketball team will be hosting the annual Rolly Lincoln Tournament at Wilder High School. Rolly Lincoln graduated from Wilder in 1950. He lettered in both baseball and basketball. After High School he earned a degree at the University of Idaho. Rolly was also a First Lieutenant in the Army. Along with his outstanding individual achievements he also played a huge role in the community and school district. Rolly served as a State Secretary in FFA, coached Little League Baseball, was very active in PTA and served as the president for several years.
Rolly was also a 4-H leader, school board member, was very active in the Methodist church, and was a Wilder High School athletic announcer for 29 years. Rolly was the first person in the valley to do play-by-play announcing in high school sports. He is survived by his wife Margaret Lincoln and four children: Dave, Larry, Dennis, and Linda. His support and committment to the school was very special to the Wilder School District and the community. Thank you Rolly!!
